Visuality and Violence

Since 2018, I have taught an open-format (combining lectures and seminars) course on the ways in which violence and visuality have been intimately linked since the outset of modern-colonial-liberal history. I taught this course first at London School of Economics and Political Science with an empirical focus on Europe and now continue to teach it at University of Hamburg with a cultural-geographical approach.
